Adventure Tourism
Uganda is referred to as the ‘pearl of Africa’, its a land filled with beauty and has so much to offer. Adventure tourism is a type of niche tourism involving exploration or travel. We offer mountaineering expeditions on the snow capped Rwenzori mountains also known as the mountains of the moon, trekking, bungee jumping, white water rafting on the world famous Nile river, rock climbing and even paint ball wars among several others. While you travel in Uganda and overseas, you will need a vehicle to get you around. We offer you self and chauffeur driven car packages which come with different conditions. We avail you the car from the arrivals at the airport for both your short and long stay trips. Anchor Adventures vets car rental companies to pick you from whichever airport you arrive. Visa consultation
Anchor Adventures realizes you need updated information on entry requirements and regulations to facilitate your entry to other countries. We also assist with visa handling for our clients traveling to South Africa ,Dubai and many other embassies. Drop us that service mail.
Voluntourism
Anchor Adventures has for over 5 years catered for those that travel for a good cause. We offer placements for volunteering in Uganda coupling it with safari programs in the region depending on the volunteer program schedules. We also help you find volunteer placements depending on your area of interest.
Gorilla safaris
Uganda’s Bwindi national park plays host to a number of species of gorillas which are on the UNEP red-list;meaning these species are critically endangered. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to more thanhalf of the world’s total population of mountain gorillas. Anchor Adventures organizes tours to Bwindi national park and other Gorrila habitats around the Uganda boarders of Rwanda and Congo.we will drive or fly you to the mountain Gorilla habitats. Who we are
Travel Director
As the Travel Director and Founder of Anchor Adventures, Arthur has a passion for local & international travel. Arthur, who is from Kampala, Uganda, has been in the tourism industry for over nine years. He has vast experience giving tours of the East African countryside, exploring the beautiful flora and fauna, and sharing his knowledge of Uganda with tourists from around the world. Through Anchor Adventures, Arthur has introduced innovative and dynamic tourism to Uganda. Arthur is familiar with diverse travel destinations, and able to arrange exciting explorations for people of all ages and nationalities, for holiday or business getaways.
Hospitality Director
Vanessa is both a hotelier and a fashion design consultant. Vanessa has over seven years experience in the hotel and catering industry and is able to assure clients of a comfortable and peaceful travel experience. Through Anchor Adventures Vanessa will provide her professional insight on where clients should to stay throughout their trip.
Jordah Fergerson Jordan contains the ability to present the Anchor Adventures vision through visual and audio media. Jordan has vast experience in IT throughout the world and offers Anchor Adventures his creative and visionary art and design skill-set.
Charles Mtali
Charles Mtali is the Kenyan Consultant for Anchor Adventures. Charles has tremendous experience with Kenyan tourism. Anchor Adventures is honored to have Charles coordinate amazing Kenyan safari’s and East African tours for all types of clients.
Hanna Willow Gray
As the Head of Voluntourism for Anchor Adventures, Hannah leads groups of international volunteers, combining their love for travelling with their passion for volunteering. Clients have the opportunity to travel in east Africa while collaborating with local non-profit organizations on short-term projects, in order to create cross-cultural camaraderie and improve global conditions. Hannah has collaborated with Anchor Adventures over the years by coordinating trips for clients, who would like to travel to east Africa for a cause. Hannah is the founding Director of the Musana Volunteer Program in Uganda which was established in 2009, and the Program Manager for the Concordia Volunteer Abroad Program from 2005-2008. Anchor Adventures entrusts her with the new Voluntourism Program, linking international volunteers with reputable projects in Uganda.
Lawrence Mandich
Lawrence is a consultant for Ashlaw Tours which has been a partner of Anchor Adventures since its earliest days. Ashlaw Tours organizes travel experiences in Southern Africa as a whole. Lawrence designs packages for the Southern Africa experience, fully utilizing the different modes of transport through the area. Lawrence is also knowledgeable on information regarding cultural norms, local customs and traditions, politics, and tourism visa regulations in the Southern Africa region -

Anchor Adventures has for over 5 years catered for those that travel for a good cause.This is a travel program that encompasses volunteering for programs as the name suggests. We at Anchor Adventures recognize your effort in making the world a better place with your contribution. We paired your volunteering experience with tourism and came up with the notion of volutourism.
We take the tailoring of voluntourism packages very seriously and because we are pioneers in this area with an extensive network of contacts, up-to-date local knowledge and a vast experience of over 5 years in offering this package, we can ensure that every detail is taken care of and that your voluntourism experience exceeds your expectations.We offer placements for volunteering. Volunteers may be placed in various fields of choice in Uganda coupling it with safari programmes in East Africa to fit the volunteer program schedules. We offer a wide range of services to the volunteers which include:Accommodation in cost effective areas all over Uganda, Transport arrangements and any special service you require.
The experience of volunteering as well as touring the beautiful scenery in the rural and urban settings in Uganda offers the volunteers an exciting opportunity to interact with the local community, experience and view the culture from a different perspective. Our volunteer support cultivates and nurtures international culture awareness while contributing to improving the livelihoods of the communities.
Our volunteers work together with the local community offering a wider range of knowledge and experience they bring with them. Please note that they are not replacements but additional personel. We also perform regular assessments with our country coordinators, project leaders and host families.
A fee is charged that covers the placement and supervision of the volunteer into the project, accommodations which include: host families, hostels, shared guest houses, on-site dorm rooms (in orphanages) and local hotels. Also covered is reception from the airport to project location, orientation and departure transfer to the airport. We equip our volunteers with a care package. This covers information about visas, vaccinations, recommended packing lists and health safety issues.

Partnerships
The Uganda National Chamber of commerce and Industry (UNCCI) was set up in 1933. It is the oldest and largest nation-wide umbrella organization of the private sector in Uganda. UNCCI was formed as a private sector body and has grown to become a vibrant and credible business association, owned by members from the Ugandan business community. It was formally registered in 1978 as a company limited by guarantee without share capital.
